Rarely is a piece of equipment so straightforward and reliable that process engineers forget it exists. Mini split air handler was displaying a P4 Error Code. When I hooked up my gauges the standing pressure was between psi for a A system. Inside Air temp must have been about 80 degrees. Compressor kept short cycling. Any idea what it could be? I thought my standing pressure seemed high.

Noticed the compressor would cut out at psi also. Contact Tech Support! I know Fujitsu will do that if min lineset length too short or too long. Low refrigerant charge will also short cyling. Went back today and same symptoms persisted. Standing pressure of cutting off at Tech support said it could be the board but I don't think it's that.

The pressures don't look right to me. Upon releasing the refrigerant after pulling a vacuum I opened the suction line first before opening the liquid line. Could this have been an issue? Unfortunately errors can happen which is usually displayed on the indoor wall unit. Often error codes can be manufacture specific and sometimes different models can have different errors codes. Sometimes finding a manual can be difficult so here we list the known error codes for big name mini split manufactures.

I will list more error code meanings for mini splits units as I have time. My two indor units show an F1 error, it is brand new out of the box and had an ac guy put the vacuum pu,p and all the connections, we tested all the power and grounds, we looked at the mother board and could not find any loose connections.
